Plane forced to land after wacko wearing ‘15 masks’ screams that gay people were giving him cancer
A New Jersey-bound plane was forced to divert after an unruly passenger wearing over a dozen facemasks began ranting that gay people were giving him cancer.
The Sun Country Airlines plane left Minneapolis for Newark Friday morning, but cut its trip short and landed in Chicago after the wacko’s ravings escalated into screams of “the plane is going down.”
Fellow passenger Seth Evans was sitting across the aisle from the nut, and told the Minnesota Star Tribune that chaos started the moment the plane took off when he started raving about being “gang chased” by gay people.
The man also screamed he was being “radiated” and “cooked” by gays, and that they were giving him cancer, the witness said.
Perhaps to stave off the supposed onslaught, the crackpot was wearing “no less than 15 masks” over his mouth, Evans told the Tribune.
At one point, the man even announced “Trump is here.”
But screaming deluded conspiracies wasn’t all the man was good for — between each outburst he buckled down and played a round of Candy Crush, before standing up and mouthing off again at top volume.
The game was over, however, when his declarations were made about the plane crashing.
Once on the ground at O’Hare International Airport, the man was handcuffed and hauled off by Chicago police.
Passengers were questioned by US Marshals before the plane took off again and completed its journey to Jersey.
“The flight landed without incident and the passenger in question was turned over to law enforcement and removed from the aircraft,” Sun Country airline told the Tribune.
“We appreciate our passengers’ patience during the interruption to their travels.”

A car plowed into a terminal at the Detroit Metro Airport in Michigan Friday night – and the driver bellowed nonsense as he was dragged away from the scene, according to shocking footage and reports.
Wild footage captured the black sedan sitting in the middle of the McNamara Terminal, where startled Delta Airlines employees were working as it smashed through the glass doors of the Romulus, Mich. around 7:30 p.m., according to WXYZ.
The driver immediately exited the vehicle with his hands raised and speaking in a daze as security and airport officials rushed to the debris-ridden area.
“The response was so quick thank God with the cops and TSA and everybody,” stunned traveler Ali Khalifa told the outlet.
“That all happened in seconds.”
The unidentified male driver — sporting a Detroit Lions jersey — was screaming incoherently as he was hauled away by nearly a dozen security officers, according to footage shared on social media.
“Our team is gathering information, and we hope to have an update shortly,” airport officials said, WDIV reported.
The unhinged motorist – who was taken into custody – struck the ticket counter after driving through the terminal entrance, the Wayne County Airport Authority told The Post in a statement.
Officials said six people were treated at the scene, with Delta Airlines confirming to CBS News that no injuries were reported.
The airline said three of its employees were hit with debris and checked by medical personnel immediately after the crash, which didn’t hamper Delta operations.
It’s unclear how the car busted through the now-shattered glass doors, with photos showing metal barricades in front of the terminal entrance.
“The driver is in custody and the cause of the crash is unknown at this time,” airport officials said. The Wayne County Airport Authority Police Department is investigating the crash.

Between ‘silver linings’ and ‘snowbird’ reroutes, travelers are forced to adjust plans
Shannon Worley and her 11-year-old took a mother-daughter trip to New York to see “Wicked.” But their two-day vacation was unexpectedly extended as a major winter storm rolled in, bringing heavy sleet and snow to their home state of Texas on Friday, Jan 23.
American Airlines canceled the Austin-area pair’s original direct flight home on Saturday, Jan. 24, and later scrapped the first leg of their rebooked connecting flight through Miami. “My daughter’s thrilled, because we can do all the things,” Worley, 39, told USA TODAY.
They spent their extra day exploring the Big Apple, walking around 5th Avenue, stopping by Rockefeller Center, and visiting a “Stranger Things” pop-up at the Microsoft Experience Center. They rebooked a flight out for Sunday that had not been canceled – yet.
Flight canceled or delayed? Here’s what you need to do.
“The silver lining would be just extra time here with my daughter,” said Worley, who works as a photographer. “And then I guess what’s a little bit nerve-wracking is just being able to get home and then drive home from the airport.” After speaking with USA TODAY, their third return flight was canceled, leaving them searching for other options.
She’s not alone. The storm has disrupted thousands of U.S. flights through the weekend, with at least 3,800 canceled on Jan. 24 as of 3:20 p.m. and more than 2,600 delayed, according to flight-tracking website FlightAware. Over 8,400 more are canceled for Sunday, Jan. 25.
Those numbers are likely to rise as the storm continues to move across the country.

See stunning photos from the massive winter storm blanketing the US
Much of the nation east of the Rocky Mountains is hunkered down for what could be the worst winter storm of the season, followed by some of the coldest temperatures seen in years. The storm began out of Texas and Oklahoma Friday evening, hitting the region with heavy sleet and snow. Forecasters have warned of “catastrophic” ice accumulation. On Saturday, the system is expected to push towards Virginia, dumping a foot of snow or more on parts of the Ohio Valley and Mid-Atlantic, while New England sees double-digit subzero temperatures. ‘We are going to stay until it’s all clear’
Jill Hite and her husband ducked out of the storm’s path just in time.
The Indiana-based couple was visiting Austin, where their daughter lives, as the icy weather neared. Hite was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and was getting a second opinion from physicians there.
They planned to fly home to Fort Wayne, Indiana, early Saturday morning to make it back for an MRI she had scheduled on Monday, but their American flight through Dallas was canceled. “And then we tried several other flights, but all the connections were through Dallas or Atlanta or Chicago, where we couldn’t get because we knew we didn’t want to get stuck in one of those locations or have our flight canceled again,” Hite, 58, said.
They have a “snowbird house” in Florida, and decided to head there instead, booking a direct Delta Air Lines flight to Tampa and then driving roughly two hours to Punta Gorda. Hite plans to get the MRI in Florida instead.
“We are going to stay until it’s all clear to get back up there.”

United Airlines bans woman after causing flight diversion over bottle of wine
August 2, 2023, 15:47 (UTC +3)

A United Airlines flight was forced to divert after a woman insisted on opening her personal bottle of wine and started arguing with cabin crew and fellow passengers.
Flight UA1813 was flying from Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on July 25, 2023 but was forced to divert to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) so that the woman could deplane.
One of the passengers on the flight, Blake Perkins, was able to film clips of the woman arguing with passengers and flight crew.
Perkins told his viewers that the woman had wanted to drink the wine that she had taken on board.
The Transport Security Administration (TSA) allows passengers to carry on board up to 70% alcohol by volume (ABV) with certain restrictions. However, regulations by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and its partner airlines prohibit passengers from drinking alcohol on board the aircraft unless it is served by the air carrier.
In one video clip, the woman, dubbed “Wine Karen” by Perkins, can be seen repeatedly saying, “Be classy, be classy,” to a fellow passenger who asked her to sit down.
A flight attendant looked on helplessly and tried to diffuse the situation.

A second video clip shows a man, presumably a flight attendant, yelling at the woman to sit down, warning her, “If you don’t sit down, we’re going to land the plane and you’re gonna go in handcuffs.”
“Let’s do it,” the woman said, continuing her argument.
In a video caption, Perkins wrote: “Another video of the karen who couldn’t get her wine. We had to land the plane so she could get escorted off and causing us even more delays than we already had. Over wine.”
In a statement sent to The Daily Dot, United said that the woman has been banned from United Airlines flights while it is reviewing the matter.
“On Tuesday, July 25, United flight 1813 diverted to Phoenix due to a disruptive passenger who continually refused to follow the flight attendant’s instructions to return to her seat. Law enforcement officials met the aircraft on arrival and removed the passenger, and the flight subsequently departed for Los Angeles later that evening. The customer has been banned from future United flights while we review this matter,” the statement said.
