MONTVILLE, Conn. (WTNH) — A 19-year-old woman was arrested on Tuesday in Montville for driving under the influence of marijuana with alcohol in her car, according to state police.
Man charged with OUI after allegedly driving the wrong way on I-395 in Norwich
Police preformed a traffic stop on a Honda Accord driving on I-395 after the car passed their cruiser on the right. Upon contacting the driver, the trooper said that they could detect a strong odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle, as well as a cloud of smoke coming out the window while it was rolled down.
The driver, identified as Emily Campos-Sanchez, 19, of Norwich, failed a field sobriety test and admitted to consuming marijuana prior to driving. After searching the vehicle, police discovered marijuana and alcohol. She also did not have a valid license to operate a car.
She was charged with DUI, passing on the right, operating without a license, possession of marijuana by a minor and possession of alcohol by a minor. She was released on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 11.

Fox News’ Sean Hannity and Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) battled it out over ICE violence and protests on Friday with both insisting the other apologize.
Moulton joined Hannity to discuss ongoing anti-ICE protests in states like Minnesota following federal agents shooting and killing two citizens in Minneapolis: Renee Good and Alex Pretti.
Moulton cited his service in the Marines to condemn ICE officers behind these shootings, saying he would be facing a court martial if video existed of him shooting and killing Good or Pretti. Hannity meanwhile noted assaults and death threats against ICE agents are up and he argued it is partially the fault of people like Moulton “inciting” critics in the wake of Good and Pretti’s deaths.
“What about the ones that are attacking officers and doxing them? They’re not all good people,” Hannity said.
“Kicking a tail light is attacking an officer?” Moulton asked, referring to a video of Pretti appearing to kick the tail light of a federal vehicle days before he was shot.
“Yeah, officers have been attacked left and right,” Hannity said.
“You might be a great tail light protector, but I don’t think you should be executed for kicking a tail light, Sean,” Moulton fired back.
While Hannity was trying to wrap up the segment and hit a commercial break, he and Moulton kept renewing their debate with new shots. The back and forth ended with each telling the other to apologize. Hannity told Moulton to walk back his rhetoric about ICE, while Moulton accused Hannity of defending early statements from administration officials calling Pretti a “domestic terrorist.”
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has faced bipartisan backlash for claiming early on after the Saturday shooting that Pretti brandished a gun, something video does not appear to back up. White House advisor Stephen Miller also referred to Pretti as a “assassin.”
“I think you should apologize for your broad sweeping generalizations because you’re inciting and you’re putting their lives at risk and you should know better,” Hannity said.
“I think you should apologize for defending the administration when they call these protesters domestic terrorists,” Moulton responded.
Check out the exchange below:
SEAN HANNITY: Listen, the problem is, is their job is hard enough. They’re arresting the worst of the worst, even in your state, making your state more secure.
SETH MOULTON: Their job is hard, that’s not an excuse for not following the law. They should be professionals like we were in Iraq and guess what? Being a Marine in Iraq was a little bit tougher than that.
HANNITY: I’m all for getting bad apples. I’m all for getting bad apples. The problem is what you’re doing is you’re inciting. What you are doing is speaking with broad generalizations. What you’re do is dehumanizing and it is inciting a mob and you need to as a leader deescalate not escalate.
MOULTON: So you’re siding with the regime in Iran, blaming the protesters for the fact that thousands of them have been killed?
HANNITY: I’m not blaming the protestors in Iran. I think they’re brave. No, I think they’re brave and help is on the way.
MOULTON: I think protesters in Minneapolis are brave too. I think they’re exercising their freedom and rights.
HANNITY: What about the ones that are attacking officers and doxing them? They’re not all good people.
MOULTON: Kicking a tail light is attacking an officer?
HANNITY: Yeah, officers have been attacked left and right.
MOULTON: You might be a great tail light protector, but I don’t think you should be executed for kicking a tail light, Sean. I’m sorry.
HANNITY: 8000% increase. You’ve got to look at the stats, they’re real. It’s very hard what’s happening, and you’re causing it. Your irresponsible rhetoric is contributing to it.
MOULTON: You know what’s also real? The video of Alex Pretti getting murdered. It’s pretty real. And I think people could look at that and see what happened and tell me whether or not those officers should be prosecuted.
HANNITY: You know what? We’ll see. You know, I still have questions about that video. I want to get to the bottom of it just as much as you do. And I think time will tell.
MOULTON: Okay, let’s have an investigation. I’m glad the president has backtracked and actually started an investigation on it.
HANNITY: I think you should apologize for your broad sweeping generalizations because you’re inciting and you’re putting their lives at risk and you should know better.
MOULTON: I think you should apologize for defending the administration when they call these protesters domestic terrorists.

Survivors of Jeffrey Epstein said their alleged abusers “remain hidden and protected” after the US government released millions of new pages from files related to the convicted sex offender on Friday, adding fuel to the case that has dogged President Donald Trump.
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said the White House played no role in the Justice Department’s review of the extensive files on Epstein, a former friend of Trump.
“They did not tell this department how to do our review, what to look for, what to redact, what to not redact,” Blanche told a news conference.
More than three million documents were released on Friday that included mention of numerous powerful figures, including 79-year-old Trump, Elon Musk, Bill Gates and former prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The Justice Department said some of the documents contained “untrue and sensationalist claims” about Trump that were submitted to the FBI before the 2020 presidential election.
Blanche, formerly Trump’s personal lawyer, denied suggestions that embarrassing material about the president had been redacted from the newly released files, which included at least 180,000 images and 2,000 videos.
“We did not protect President Trump,” he said.
Blanche said all images of girls and women had been redacted aside from those of Ghislaine Maxwell, who was convicted of trafficking underage girls for Epstein and is serving a 20-year prison sentence.
However, a statement from survivors of Epstein’s alleged abuses claimed identifying information about them still remained in the files, “while the men who abused us remain hidden and protected.”
The letter was signed by 19 people, some using aliases or initials, and demanded “the full release of the Epstein files” and that Attorney General Pam Bondi directly address the matter when she testifies before Congress next month.
– Executives, politicians, celebrities –
A wealthy US financier, Epstein died in a New York prison cell in 2019 while awaiting trial for sex trafficking of underage girls. His death was ruled a suicide.

Previous document releases have shed light on Epstein’s ties to top business executives such as Microsoft’s Gates, celebrities such as filmmaker Woody Allen, academics and politicians, including Trump and former president Bill Clinton.
In a draft email among the latest published documents, Epstein said Gates had engaged in extramarital affairs, a claim the Gates Foundation denied in a statement to The New York Times.
Another document showed an email exchange between Musk and Epstein in 2012 in which Musk asked: “What day/night will be the wildest party on your island?”
Musk said in a post on his X platform on Saturday he was aware that the email correspondence could be “misinterpreted and used by detractors to smear my name.”
He called for the prosecution of “those who committed serious crimes with Epstein.”
In other emails, Epstein connected Steve Tisch, 76, producer of the movie “Forrest Gump” and the co-owner of the New York Giants football team, with multiple women.
In one exchange with Tisch, Epstein describes a woman as “russian, and rarely tells the full truth, but fun.”
Former prince Andrew, who was stripped of his royal titles over his ties to Epstein, is mentioned in one document inviting Epstein to Buckingham Palace in 2010 after Epstein proposed introducing Andrew to a Russian woman.
– Conspiracy theories –
Trump’s right-wing base has long been obsessed by the Epstein saga and conspiracy theories that the financier oversaw a sex trafficking ring for the world’s elite.
Maxwell, Epstein’s former girlfriend, is the only other person charged in connection with his crimes and Blanche appeared to play down expectations that the latest files would lead to further prosecutions.
Trump and Clinton both figure prominently in the records published so far but neither has been accused of wrongdoing.
A Republican-led House panel voted recently to launch contempt of Congress proceedings against Bill and Hillary Clinton over their refusal to testify before its probe into Epstein.
Trump, who moved in the same social circles as Epstein in Florida and New York, fought for months to prevent release of the vast trove of documents about the disgraced financier.
However, a rebellion inside his Republican Party forced him to sign off on a law mandating release of all the documents.
Trump has given varying accounts of why he eventually fell out with Epstein. He has criticized the file dumps, saying that people who “innocently met” Epstein over the years risked having their reputations smeared.
The Epstein Files Transparency Act called for all the documents held by the Justice Department to be published by December 19.
