King Charles’ secret hospital trip nobody knew about
His Majesty was rushed to hospital after a nasty accident
King Charles worried royal watchers in March when it was revealed that the monarch had been in hospital due to side effects from his ongoing cancer treatment.
A statement from the palace reassured readers that the King was doing well, and he quickly retreated to Highgrove to recover.

While the royal household was open about the King’s most recent hospital stay, the royal did have a secret hospital trip that nobody knew about, following a nasty accident at home.
King Charles’ accident
In a 2016 BBC Radio 4 interview, the monarch shared details of his rush to hospital after an injury incurred at Highgrove.
“I planted a lot of the trees and I cut off the end of my finger, banging in stakes. I had to be taken to Swindon Hospital to have it sewn back on again,” he revealed – sounds painful!
The King was planting trees once more on Thursday, joined by the King and Queen of Sweden, but thankfully all royals left the engagement unscathed!
Hospital visits
Just like her husband, Queen Camilla is familiar with Swindon hospital, sharing earlier this year: “I know quite a lot about [Swindon hospital]. You’ve treated a lot of my family.
“I am so impressed by this A&E. I have had very good feedback because I have had friends who come here and grandchildren who have been here on several occasions,” she continued.
“I quite often get pictures saying, ‘Guess where I am? Back in the A&E in Swindon’, so I know it quite well.”

Misdemeanours in the garden
Cutting off the end of his finger isn’t the only ordeal the King has been through while gardening.
In 2001, several public engagements saw the King wearing an eye patch to protect his eye after he got a large amount of dust in his eye while sawing a tree in his garden.
Following the gardening mishap, the then 52-year-old had to undergo hospital treatment, which resulted in his pirate-like protection.
Dangerous pursuits
While gardening seems sedate, it’s wounded our King twice – and he doesn’t have much luck with his other hobbies, either, being injured several times during his polo playing days.
Well aware he needs to take better care of himself now in his seventies, earlier this year the monarch told a member of the public: “I think my skiing days are behind me,” while on the subject of polo, when a young royal fan asked King Charles his favourite sport in October last year, the King replied: “I can’t do much now, too many injuries.”

TEEN Mom OG star Ryan Edwards has revealed he was fired from the hit MTV show after clashing with producers over an American flag.
Ryan, 33, and his family were let go from the reality TV series after tensions with his ex Maci Bookout and her husband, Taylor McKinney, boiled over.

The Edwards clan was let go following a blowout fight between Ryan’s dad Larry and Taylor during last season’s reunion special.
But now The Sun can exclusively reveal tensions were already running high between the show’s producers and Ryan before that.
He claimed the last straw for him came when he found out that they had taken down a US flag on his front porch, as production said it was “in their way.”
Ryan told The Sun: “What got me is when they took my flag down off the porch. They laid it on the ground and when I went down to pick it up they told me it was in their shot.
“I got real angry because it was an American flag and they said it was in their way. I said ‘Either put it back on the post or leave’ and that was the last time they ever came back, I guess.”
Ryan added that he and Mackenzie were contemplating leaving the show before the firing.

He explained: “MTV just stands for a lot of things that my wife and I don’t support, politics and respecting people’s rights, that kind of stuff.
“I just don’t agree with them on a lot of stuff and I didn’t want to work for some place that was like that anymore, they were just way too far out there for me.
“Mackenzie and I were discussing, ‘Do we really want to do this anymore?’ and then I guess they made the decision for us, which was a good decision.
“And then Maci didn’t want us on the show anymore either.”
Speaking about his life since moving on from Teen Mom OG, Ryan said: “We’ve been doing good since leaving the show, just kinda hanging out. Everybody’s happy and enjoying not dealing with MTV.
“I’m not resentful, MTV is all about making money and s***, and that’s alright.
BANNED FROM BENTLEY
The comments come after Ryan exclusively revealed to The Sun that he has not been able to see his 12-year-old son Bentley for over a month and believes that Maci, 30, has “poisoned” the tween against him.
He said: “I haven’t seen him, my mom and dad haven’t seen him, nobody has seen him.
“I did go to therapy with Bentley but Maci has kind of put a halt on everything after my dad and Taylor had that argument.”
Meanwhile, his wife Mackenzie, 24, branded Maci a “hypocrite” and suggested she has “skeletons in her closet.”
She said: “Maci is all about Maci and anybody that gets in Maci’s way or doesn’t do what Maci wants gets cut out.
“Nobody is saying that Ryan hasn’t made mistakes, nobody is saying that I haven’t made mistakes. We own that, we’ve made mistakes but we’ve also learned from them.
“We’re allowed to grow as people and to change but Maci doesn’t allow for anybody to change in her mind.
“It’s all about Maci and Maci making money and portraying on television that they’re one big happy family when they have skeletons in their closet that they don’t want out there either.
“They are very hypocritical.”
Maci appeared to throw shade his way earlier this month with a now-deleted comment posted on social media.
The mother-of-three reposted a message to Facebook that said a person cannot care about a child they do not check on, according to screenshots shared by the fan page Teen Mom Chatter.
The original quote stated: “You can’t love a child you never check on,” to which Maci added, “Say it louder…”
Ryan’s wife Mackenzie also appeared to have a cryptic dig at Maci on her own social media.
She posted a picture of a quote that read: “No one watches you harder than the person who can’t stand you.”
Back in February, Mackenzie and Ryan lashed out at Maci after Bentley refused to attend his half-brother Jagger’s birthday party.
Mackenzie said at the time: “I am responsible for these kids’ emotions and feelings, and they don’t deserve that. It’s one thing to be a petty b**ch, fine, but when you’re including my kids, that’s not okay with me.”
