Ben Stiller has slammed the Donald Trump’s White House for using a clip from the 2008 film “Tropic Thunder.”

The White House post said, “Justice the American way” and showed clips from “Braveheart,” “Top Gun,” “Superman,” “Transformers,” “Iron Man 2,” “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” and more. Stiller responded on X and said, “Hey White House, please remove the Tropic Thunder clip. We never gave you permission and have no interest in being a part of your propaganda machine. War is not a movie.”

Stiller played Tugg Speedman in the 2008 satire.

This is far from the first time the White House and Trump have used movies or songs on social media to help praise the President or his initiatives.

Last year, he used Sabrina Carpenter’s “Juno” in a post that depicted ICE raids. Prior to the White House co-opting Carpenter’s music for its ICE agenda, it did the same with Taylor Swift. A video that dropped in November used Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia” in a montage celebrating Trump despite the U.S. president’s frequent social media posts bashing Swift. The pop star did not comment on the video.

“Top Gun” songwriter Kenny Loggins made headlines in October when he spoke out against the White House’s use of his hit song “Danger Zone” in a video that depicted Trump flying over No Kings protestors and dropping poop all over them.

“This is an unauthorized use of my performance of ‘Danger Zone.’ Nobody asked me for my permission, which I would have denied, and I request that my recording on this video is removed immediately,” Loggins said.

Fox Star Blames Policy Trump Championed for Jobs Bloodbath

Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo has blamed one of President Donald Trump’s key policy initiatives for February’s abysmal job numbers.

The president has sought to promote and deregulate artificial intelligence, which he has called “one of the most important technological revolutions in the history of the world.

Those efforts may be backfiring, though, as the economy shed 92,000 jobs last month in a growing economic nightmare for the president. The unemployment rate ticked up slightly to 4.4 percent as the economy lost jobs in three of the last five months.

The numbers were far worse than expected, leading Bartiromo to question whether AI was to blame.

“We’ve been talking about AI efficiencies and that has to be considered here,” she said Friday. “A week ago, we heard from Block, and they’re going to cut 40 percent of their workforce because they have AI tools that are replacing people. Oracle, the cloud unit, says it’s putting a pause on hiring.”

Trump has brought in tech billionaire David Sacks as his artificial intelligence and crypto czar to help the White House create a legal framework for cryptocurrency and AI, though Trump himself has not always demonstrated a firm grasp of the technology.

Last year, the president signed three executive orders aimed at deregulating AI and fired the former U.S. Copyright Chief after her office published a report that could have prevented AI companies from training their models on copyrighted material without the creator’s permission.

First Lady Melania Trump also hosted a White House Task Force on AI Education.

“I predict AI will represent the single largest growth category in our nation during the Trump Administration,” she said in a statement ahead of the event.

The technology has also proven to be a political headache for Trump, as his own supporters have balked at the idea of paying more for electricity as data centers threaten to drive up energy costs.

On Wednesday, Trump convened tech company executives to sign a pledge to build their own power plants to support their AI data centers.

The president, however, struggled to keep his eyes open as his scientific advisers spoke about electricity demand and consumer energy prices.

Iran Targets US Consulate In Dubai

Scroll back up to restore default view.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth faced backlash and mockery Thursday over a speech about the war with Iran in which he railed against what he called the “dumb, politically correct wars of the past” and insisted the timeline of the U.S.-Israeli military operations is “ours and ours alone to control.”

“The dumb, politically correct wars of the past were the opposite of what we’re doing here,” Hegseth boasted at a news conference in Tampa, adding that previous conflicts had “vague objectives with restrictive, minimalist rules of engagement.”

He declared, “No more.”

Hegseth also bragged about the scale of U.S. military power involved in the conflict and said: “We set the tempo. We set the timeline,” a line that some social media users suggested meant Americans were being dragged into yet another forever war.
